New city, new job. Well, not exactly a new city in Connor's case. He had been to San Fracisco several times in the past century, but it had been a first for him, in this century. A lot had changed since then, as with every city that he came to. He had been discharged from the Army again, the second time in his lifetime for a dishonorable discharge. The reason was basically the same. He had a disagreement with his superior, and knocked him out. Disorderly conduct. What a bitch to have on one's record, but in a couple of decades, it wouldn't matter. He would just simply recreate a new persona to fall under, and if he wanted to, he would re-elist. In his own opinion, this generation's military was soft on soldiers. Too many of them complaining, and not enough orders to be given. The orders that were given were far beyond ridiculous. But he was a good soldier, at least he was in his own mind, and there were plenty of militaries in the world that would have taken him.
But honestly, it was high time to leave the military scene behind him for now, and go a new route. So, when Connor got off the plane, it was no surprise that the very person to meet him was none other than Cerberus, himself. The Alpha always had a sort of dominance that Connor could respect. All Alpha's did, but if he was going to work with an Alpha, it would have been Cerberus. All of the others tended to have too much of a superiority complex for his taste. Cerberus was as quaint as usual though. He was always the distant type, and quiet for the most part. Never said anything, unless something needed to be said, and at the right occasion.
Connor walked with Cerberus, while the Alpha explained much of the current situation concerning a rise in both magical activity of the most benevolent and malevolent of kinds. Connor listened, and took in the knowledge. For a while, he had been, in fact, planning a long-time stay within San Fran, but he never knew why the sudden urge. It was a mystery to him, but with Cerberus' beckoning, he came right away. There was a silence between the two after the conversation was done, but Cerberus also intended something else for Connor, and after about a half hour, they arrived at a club, called P3. Handing Connor a piece of the paper, it explained that the club was hiring for a security manager, and given that Connor had particular skills in that venture, given his lycanthropic abilities, it all became clear.
Before Connor could ask more, he looked up and noticed that Cerberus was gone. Vanished into thin air, as usual. It was perhaps his most annoying trait, but Cerberus only appeared to tell people what they needed to know before vanishing. So, the only thing left to do, was for Connor to go in and apply.
