The world had long since been consumed long ago by the darkness. First to go was the youngest of the Blessed Children, then the others and as the years passed, the darkness consumed everyone. Only the Bookshop remained, floating in the eternal Abyss as its magic began to finally wane and give in to the oblivion that inevitably came to all worlds. All worlds are born in the Light of Creation and all worlds inevitably become fade away to the Destruction of Darkness. Inside, surrounded by the photos of those he once knew, Cerberus looked back at what he saw as the End of things, and finally felt his own end had come at long last. For Fifty Thousand Years, he acted as the guardian and leader of his entire species, but more so as a Neutral force in the war between good and evil, only interfering when the Natural Order needed it, or when his people needed him. He looked at the Wedding Photo of Terra and John, how happy she had looked in that photo and happier than she had been in centuries. John always looked strange in his photos after his marriage, as he had not smoked since that day. But when Terra faded into the Darkness, the Light within John once again faded, and he joined her not long after. Before long, it was only Cerberus and Dagon, and Cerberus knew Dagon was fading with his ever-growing instability. He was laughing as he faded into the Darkness, promising Cerberus that he would get the joke before he faded too.
Connor's motorcycle jacket rested on his favorite chair, the last remaining remnant of his life. His leaving was the most lamentful for Cerberus, because it was like a lonely old wolf giving in to his old age and allowing the cold of the Darkness to at long last settle in. He took his steps towards the chamber beneath his mortal bookstore. As he closed the door behind the bookstore for good, the Darkness began to ascend into the store, consuming all around it. He made his way down the stairs, and as he did, the Darkness began consuming all steps behind him before stopping as he entered the room full of massive rows of books and tomes. He sat in his chair, fixed in the center of the room, watching as the Darkness began to consume everything around him.
In that moment, he thought of the end, but as the Darkness now surrounded Cerberus, with the last shred of light glimmering over him, he smiled to himself and knew that there were other versions of him in this massive Omniverse, and though his time was over, he knew his Prime counterpart would carry on. Before everything went dark around him, he pulled out a note and began to read.
"To My Beloved Friends of Blessed,
I don't think I'll ever be able to let the memory of this site go, the friends I made and the people I have known here throughout my time here. I hope and I pray that one day, we will all meet again. For those of you I will never see again, I wish you all the best in your life and hope we cross paths in another life. For everyone in general, thank you for some of the best moments of my life by being some of the greatest people I have ever met. Though Cerberus of Blessed may be over, I hope him, John, Dagon, Terra, and Connor will carry on in my work in other ways. But more so, I hope you all carry on many of your characters in some way as well.
May you never forget the good times and here is to hopefully more good times in the future,
Adam AKA Addie."
A smile crossed Cerberus' face one last time, and Everything faded to black.
