"It's just a melody, it bleeds in me. It's hard to believe, that I've let it go."
•••••
It wasn't often that she found herself with much time to herself. There was always something to do around the shoppe and doing things to her alpha's specifications could be an all day task in it's self. When she found that she actually had the time to take off for herself, Tera almost cheered aloud but then she realized that the customers leaving the shop might of found it quite odd. Quickly capitilizing on this new found time, Tera bounded up the stairs to go grab her jacket before sprinting back down the stairs and locking the front door. Turning the sign around the "young" woman smiled to herself as she then headed out the back door.
The mall was her destination today simply because she had nothing to wear. Ever since she had arrived here in L.A. she had never gotten a chance to actually go anywhere. Book shop all day and policing the rest of her kind at night which seemed to consume her week easily. Normally she didn't even truly care for clothes, she was the type that was not shy about her nude form by any means. Yet society standards dictated that she wore them so she did. It had been at least a full century since she wandered the forests in such a state anyway, her duties forced her into the cities more often than she liked the past fifteen or so years. Neither of them wanted to admit it but they had a feeling that he would be coming back any time, at least she did.
It was a rather long walk though the girl hardly noticed it due to her bodies peak physical conditioning. Yet an hour or so had passed and she finally came upon the reliving sight that was the shopping mall. Most people were overcome with a sense of dread when they saw it simply because it was full of people at all times. Tera loved people despite how crude they could become when you jammed them into a small space. She loved to watch their expressions, their styles, and the way the interacted with one another. She often wondered if perhaps people were not put off by her tendancy to stare at those she found fascinating.
Looking around with a giant smile on her face, Tera felt like she was at last having fun in this place. Scanning the immediate store fronts she could see, her eyes fell upon one that sold some rather gorgeous clothing. The displays in the glass windows out front drew her in without a moments hesitation, as if she was under some sort of spell. Entering the store, Tera drifted towards a few of the styles that she had seen on display, picking them over as if she was choosing a weapon to go to battle with. It was part of who she was, she was always indecisive when it came to these things simply because she had two mind sets at war here. Pretty versus practical was a hard fight to win. As a fighter in her pack she needed something she could move in, but did she really have to think about that in regards to everyday clothing? Probably not, no, but she did.
Finally settling on an outfit, Tera took it too one of the changing rooms and quickly slid into the number. Once she was finished, she made her way out to the full length mirror to check herself out in it. Turning to and fro she bit her lower lip as she tried to weigh the pros and cons. There were so many things she liked about this, like how simple it was, yet part of her wondered if she shouldn't just go buy more jeans and give up on the notion of being girly. What she needed was a second opinion and hopefully a good one.
"This would be alot easier if I had more female friends. Then perhaps I wouldn't be standing here talkin' to myself like a nutter." she muttered, her accent obviously irish. She was speaking to herself but loud enough to be heard by anyone passing by. Standing in front of the mirror, Tera fussed for several more minutes in indecision.
