Cass was looking forward to today. It was one of the few times she and her sister Charlotte had the same day off and they could do some shopping, go to dinner and catch a movie. These were rare pleasures given that they were Halliwells and that meant their lives were interspersed with demon hunting, cupid’s duties and work. Cass loved what she did but it was so nice to be able to stretch her legs by walking in the mall. She was going to meet Charlotte here and so she relaxed in a seated area where she knew she was visible.
There was a fountain outside and Cass watched it with pleasure and sighed in contentment. It was the small things that really mattered. Times like this moment where you could reconnect with nature and the people here. This is what Cass lived for and she felt a happiness rise up in her. She waited with anticipation for her sister to arrive. The Halliwell family was close and so when they could be together it was a moment to be enjoyed. She wanted to make sure Charlotte was doing well.
Folding her hands gently, Cass smoothed the blue dress she wore. It was a sundress and she’d matched it with a pair of Grecian sandals. Her jewelry was light and consisted of a charm bracelet; different charms that she had gotten for years twinkling in the light. A gold heart graced her neck and her makeup was light and done in neutral tones that took advantage of her natural looks. She smelled the flowers that were around the fountain and she debated picking up some pots, seeds, and potting soil. The idea that she could grow plants tickled her fancy and she debated what plant she should purchase. She liked herbs and that would not only be pretty but productive.
