The stage was set for the evening, they had worked tirelessly to see that tonight went off without a hitch. All of the tables had been polished, covered in beautiful clothes, and the place had been cleaned to the point where you could lick the floor. All of the staff here at the Golden Butterfly seemed to be buzzing, absolutely buzzing with the anticipation of the events to come. A vast majority of them were humans that Bae employed to work here who had little to no working knowledge of what went on behind the scenes. This was to be a cover just incase someone came snooping around - best not to have a casino full of demons.
As the bands finished setting up, Bae gave the order to start ushering people inside. The line outside the doors was tremendous tonight as it was truthfully their opening and it seemed that everyone had heared. When Bae Yuon did something in the human world it was note worthy considering her vast fortune. He was a symbol to the local community with his kind donations and notoriously loose purse strings. Upon walking into the main floor the first thing one noticed beyond the machines was a large picture hanging upon the wall. From here Bae could watch the crowd below him but all the unsuspecting crowd would see was an image of a beast holding a woman in chains; stripped of all her earthly possessions.
Mr. Yuon, the doors have opened. Everything is on schedule.
A tiny voice spoke into his ear piece as she continued to coordinate the events below. His second in command was a rather tiny woman, also Korean, who seemed to have a short tolerance for nonsense and a need to run everything. That was exactly why he had appointed her to the position; he knew she would not fail him. Even now she was in the process of coordinating with the demons down stairs who were busy weaving a spell they had created specifically for this night. The spell was designed to draw the people in, planting the seeds of addiction within them, and trap them here for as long as possible.
That was only the first part of the spell, however, as the next part allowed them to identify magical entities. If they were going to be moving in on the ex-charmed ones turf they needed to gather an accurate count of magical beings in the area. This would provide them with the most data and give them a rough percentage of success based on what they saw here tonight. It was widely known that most beings sided with the Charmed Ones and even if they did not they often aided them simply out of mutual interest. Bae was a big player, even if he had yet to make his move, and he was afraid that the Charmed children would soon catch his scent.
Fixing his collar, Bae stepped into his elevator and took it down to the main floor where he might mingle with the crowds. As he made his appearance people from the city goverment stopped to shake his hand, asking him to give them a short audience later in the night to discuss some plans or something to that effect. Every politician was seeking his financial backing for their re-election or their first election and it was like navigating a sea of icebergs at times. Yet while he was distracted by that more than a few people caught his eye as they were painted with the symbol for magic that only he and his team could see simply because they were aware of the spell.
"If you would excuse me." he said simply as he made his way over to this person. Approaching with a confident swagger, Bae would put on his best smirk as he came to a stop just shy of them. "Nice place, isn't it?" he asked, breaking the ice with this stranger as he stood there looking around as if he did not own the place.
