There wasn't one member of the Kiddo family, married in or otherwise, that wasn't addicted to coffee. Tom was well on his way to full filling the same thing. He didn't get much pocket change working as an Elder, but since his mother didn't care that he was an Elder and demanded that he still come home and do chores Tom had allowance money in his pocket for the first time in ages. And right now all he wanted was a very hot very black African brew. Yea he was a teenager who liked black coffee, what of it?
Tom walked up to the brewista, who he knew from his parents neighbor hood. "Oh... Hey? How's it going...? Um can I have the largest black African brew you have please?" He awkwardly handed over the money he needed and walked away to wait for his coffee. That's all he wanted. Coffee made limbo feel tolerable. Coffee made his headache go away... Coffee made him remember sitting at the dinner table in the morning waiting for Lelola and Mitch to go to school while Emily did her homework and Jyo and Shilo were getting ready for work. Tom wanted that familiarity and luckily, this was Mitch and Lelola's favorite coffee shop... And he thought he caught Emily here a couple of times too. It made him feel like his siblings were close by, to give him advise.
When they finally called his name he practically sprinted for his cup and to find a place to sit down. Of coarse it was sparse, it was the middle of the dayish, but there were some people. Tom pulled out a comp and began warping a song he'd found online. Some horrible ancient thing called Friday by this little girl called Rebecca Black... He kinda looked at Music as his genre since each of his siblings had theirs. And he looked at making this song better as his right of passage into their world. It wasn't going so well. He sighed and put his pet project away before the obnoxious voice of some prancy teen asking which seat she should sit in on her way to school made him barf. He then began working as hard as he could on a piece that was a remix of his own beats. Just something that he had thrown together that was working up to play at Mitchell's Hard Rock Hotel birthday party coming up. He almost didn't here anything around him, but still something made him look up.
