The question that Jason asked her, where the name Ellie came from, which Ellie kind of anticipated because she knew that it was the kind of name that quickly gave you the idea that it was derived from a bit different name, and a lot o the time a longer one at that, but with hers, it wasn't that much longer, but it did flash out some old memories though for a moment. The memories of the friends she hadn't talked to since she had become so busy with this whole investigation, that she wouldn't admit was getting more personal for her, the ones that she left behind in Canada, and the relatives in England. It wasn't really the biggest reason that she had decided to go fully by Ellie these days, but it was a part of it, because for all of them, she had always already been just that, Ellie, and she just felt more comfortable by that name than calling herself Elissa, she didn't really know how else to describe it, which sometimes made it hard to come up with the right answer toe the same question that brought her back to reality the next moment and shrug before she smiled and tilted her head to the side. : I could have known that a guy like you would figure out it stood for something, and to want to know from what. But it's from Elissa, so not really the usual pick of names that it could have come from I know." She admitted as she smiled and shrugged her shoulders shortly again.
Ellie purposely though kept it a bit mysterious and her smile became more of a mysterious grin for a moment too, before it turned amused too when she heard what he said then about how he did indeed know how to get a girl's interest and everything, which indeed he did, so she wouldn't tell him not to get cocky. "Hmm, I think I didn't have to point that out to you then, although now at least you know that you're piquing my interest." She teased him as she gave him a wink too. Once he leaned in and grinned, her own grin grew pretty quickly and once his words drew into her ears, she laughed for a moment but nodded in agreement. "Definitely then." She told him about letting the games begin then. The more this went on, the more she did think there wouldn't really be anything serious there, not that she really thought as much, but she did analyze a lot of things when she was talking to someone after all, but she was certain more and more that she liked Jason and hoped that even if there was or wasn't a one time kind of thing or something, that she would see him more often and that they could become friends, because she did like talking to him, she didn't really feel like getting judged constantly or something either, and she could certainly appreciate his taste in the girls too. She partially couldn't really wait to know his reaction to her being bisexual, just because a lot of guys just thought two chicks together were hot, but also how it would make him look at her overall, but she'd wait for that part to come out.
As she had told her story, Ellie did suddenly think of the option that they could think she was making all of this up all of a sudden or something, just to get interest, or for the whole mysterious thing, but she couldn't really think of a kind of person that would just do that. She could understand that it was kind of weird somewhere that she just told this to them, but she just wouldn't lie to them, and it actually relieved her a bit from keeping it a secret from almost everyone else that she knew, only Misha knew, and that wasn't on purpose either, and his main goal was to try and stop her too, with his whole fear of demons and warnings about the possibility of them knowing a Darklighter or something. She just hoped that whatever, they wouldn't think she was just a liar that was making this up, or that she didn't have any alterior motive with it.
Once Samantha said that she had faith that Ellie's grandfather was alive, she nodded slightly, and although she didn't really doubt that, she was more worried that if he was indeed stil alive, what the hell they did to him to keep him there all this time, what they would have done to him, or what they could even have turned him into... She just didn't know, and the more she unwillingly dreamt about it at night, the more it started to freak her out, she didn't like not knowing things, she had a photographic memory for crying out loud, once she knew something, it was almost impossible to unknow it, so when she couldn't get to know and understand what she wanted to, for so long, it just drove her mad sometimes. But mostly when Samantha offered to help, Ellie's eyes grew wide for just a second in fear. She couldn't get her involved, she couldn't get either from them involved in this, if they weren't magic related especially, and even if they actually were, this wasn't their problem, this wasn't their danger to have to face, she would never forgive herself if something happened to either of them. Of course a part of her wanted to yell "hell yes!" and finally get some help that she was hoping for, instead of having to hide it and know that they would try and stop you because they were so sure that you couldn't handle it, she was sick of it, she just wanted some support, some faith, even if she was being stupid or reckless, or both. "That's nice but... I can't ask that of you, either of you, I know it must be kind of... Strange that I'm even telling you guys this, I don't even want to bother you with it, but I can't put you in danger." She said a bit worried and shaking her head and let a hand put some of her locks of her hair back after she had looked down for a moment.
Ellie looked surprised at Jason then, when he said that there was nothing to lay on her, and that he agreed that you did what you had to do. Okay, now she was sure that she liked this guy and that she would only be lucky to have a friend like that around, even though she was sure there were still layers of something more annoying and all that underneath what he had shown so far, but that went for all three of them, she was sure of it. Ellie could be quite annoying when it came to playing board games and she started losing and didn't take the necessary breath to calm herself down. Bad example probably, but still. "Exactly, I just wish more people would understand that, and support me a bit, instead of the opposite." She said with a soft smile and looking in front of her shortly, but then looking back up at both Jason and Samantha next to her, while at the same time again pulling off her sunglasses completely for a moment, because the direction she was looking in now, wasn't giving her a blinding sun glare in the face.
