Name: Soul Mates
Picture:
Description:
"Think about how a person halfway across the world knows the instant their loved one is hit by a car. It's because they're struck with a sudden burst of love, a-a psychic shock, the kind of shock that only come from the total loss of a loved one." -Cole Turner
Love. It is among the ultimate powers of good to exist in the Natural Order of the Grand Design. Some may even say that it is one of the main chain links that holds the Grand Design together. No love is more powerful than that of a soul mate.
As the name states, it is when two people share the same connection, the same soul in a sense. Soul mates hold the strongest bond of love. A bond that is so very powerful, that in cases within the magical community, a powerful bond with one's soul mate can make them cross far distances faster than thought, and bring them to the moment that their loved one is in danger. It incompasses all forms of magic, and brings that joined soul to the one person that shares it with them.
While it is a powerful force for good, it is still very vulnerable, and even the most powerful of soul mates can be broken. When that happens, and one loses their soul mate, it leaves a permanent void within their lives. Whether their soul mate is a lover, a family member, or quite simply a friend, when that soul mate dies, a part of a person literally dies and leaves them highly vulnerable to attack. Despite this major weakness, the bond that soul mates share transcends life and death, and one can feel their soul mate, even after they have passed on.
Nobody ever chooses their soul mate either, but one knows when they have met their soul mate when they meet, eye-to-eye for the first time. Once that connection is made, they are bound to one another for life. Not even cupids have the power to determine if the person they are destined to love is their soul mate or not, but in the heiarchy of love, a bond between two soulmates will always out do the love for another.
Powers: A powerful, and unbreakable bond between the two that enables either soul mate to find the other, or sense when something happens to them. It allows them to experience a form of empathy for that very person, which allows soul mates to be the only ones to comfort one another.
Origin: Created by myself
